If the scam originated online, such as through email, social media or online classifieds, a report should be made to the Internet Criminal Complaint Center: https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
If a person who has information of a phone scam should report that information to the Federal Trade Commission: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Keep up to date about current scams, consider registering for scam alerts from the FTC: www.consumer.ftc.gov/scam-alerts
If you've lost money or believe that a specific scam originated in the city limits of Tucson, you can make a report with the Tucson Police Department. This report can be made online: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/apps/crime-reporting or by calling TPD’s non-emergency number, 520-791-4444.

Please join the ASU Office of Community Health, Engagement and Resiliency and our partners as we present the THRIVE Resource Cafe livestream webinar and social media series. This Wednesday, April 29th, from 12-12:30pm we will feature the Tucson Police Department. Come to hear from representatives from TPD discuss current scams related to COVID-19 and how to avoid becoming a victim. Sgt. Kimberly Frie in the Financial Crimes Unit will provide tips on how to keep ourselves safe from frauds and scams in these uncertain times. Bring your questions and share them via Zoom or Facebook, and our moderators will have them answered for you by our panelists in real time.
