Updates From Management:

Drywall repairs started on the 16th floor on Thursday and will continue on Friday, Jan. 29. As a reminder, the contractor will not need to enter your unit, but please use caution in the hallways.

Reminder: The Tucson House Commodities Program has been moved to the 3rd Thursday of the month. If you are not registered please call (520) 837-5431 to add your name to the delivery list.

Save the Date! Tucson House Call (formerly the Tucson House Radio Show) will take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The Zoom link will be available on the new landing page www.thriveinthe05.com/tucsonhousecall the week of Feb. 1. The first call of 2021 will take place Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 5:30 p.m.

GAP Food Ministries Update Beginning Feb. 2021:

The THRC will be doing GAP on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month (Feb.9th and 23rd) to help prevent food wastefulness. If you want to participate in the program you need to call the Council office at (520) 791-6830 or stop by the office in the basement to sign-up for the program.

1501 Express Update Beginning Feb. 2021:

Beginning in Feb., there will be no 1501 Express for the first week of each month when the High Riser is published.

COVID-19 Vaccines

Management is in contact with the Pima County Health Department to try to arrange COVID-19 vaccinations for at-risk residents at Tucson House. At the moment, we do not have more information about when this will be available. If you are 75 or older, you are eligible to register now to receive a vaccine elsewhere in the meantime. Fun Fact: Through Jan. 26, the Pima County Health Department has given 86,479 vaccinations in Pima County, a daily increase of 6,905!

Please remember to keep wearing your masks everywhere except when in your own apartment, staying home as much as possible, washing and sanitizing your hands, and maintaining distance from others (6 or more feet).

Actualización de GAP Food Ministries a partir de feb. de 2021:

El THRC estará haciendo GAP el segundo y cuarto martes del mes (9 y 23 de feb.) para ayudar a prevenir el desperdicio de alimentos. Si desea participar en el programa, debe llamar a la oficina del Consejo al (520) 791-6830 o pasar por la oficina en el sótano para inscribirse en el programa.

Vacunas para COVID-19

La gerencia está en contacto con el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Pima para tratar de organizar las vacunas COVID-19 para los residentes en riesgo en Tucson House. Por el momento, no tenemos más información sobre cuándo estará disponible. Si tiene 75 años o más, es elegible para registrarse ahora para recibir una vacuna en otro lugar mientras tanto. Dato curioso: Hasta el 26 de enero, el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Pima ha administrado 86,479 vacunas en el Condado de Pima, ¡un aumento diario de 6,905!
